Paulina Thompson

Head of Strategy, London

Paulina is the Co-Head of Strategy based in London, with nearly two decades of experience in business, marketing, and creative strategy. She also leads Effectiveness and Emerging Technology at the London office.

Before joining Anomaly, Paulina spent time at adam&eve DDB, where she led strategy for marquee creative accounts and was trained in effectiveness by Les Binet. She previously held positions at The&Partnership and Publicis, where her innovative thinking produced culturally impactful work, including a documentary on Japanese craftsmanship and award-winning Heineken sports sponsorships for UEFA and F1. Her work has earned numerous accolades, including IPA, Effie and Cannes Lions awards.

Prior to her agency career, Paulina led digital communications at Amnesty International’s headquarters. She transformed their global approach by spearheading headline-grabbing live social media reporting and developing digital products for emerging markets. Her achievements include bringing a government to a standstill through a low-fi hack that jammed their fax-based communications and breaking cultural taboos on reproductive rights in Asia.

Paulina is a member of the Effie Effectiveness committee, a guest lecturer at the London College of Communication, and a mentor for the women’s network SheSays and NABS, the communications industry wellbeing charity.
